Food Down the Road Resources

Food Down the Road and the National Farmers Union have been active in creating new resources on local food in Kingston and countryside.

From the Ground Up: A Primer for Community Action
Primer cover

This primer helps to build common ground on local food by informing people about challenges and opportunities facing Kingston and countryside’s food system. Starting with an overview of the food system itself, the primer examines specifics for Kingston and area, before moving on to look at some local food success stories from other areas. Lastly, the primer discusses how we can learn from successes elsewhere and adapt various approaches to build a local food system on the strengths of our region. 74 pages.
